A passenger carrying two knives and talking about the end of the world on a flight bound for England has been arrested by Spanish police.
The Chilean man was detained after he started acting suspiciously as the easyJet plane bound for Luton taxied for take off at Madrid's Barajas airport last night.
Police later found two, three-inch penknives on the man which had not shown up on the metal detector machine for boarding passengers.
The Spanish Civil Guard took the man into custody for questioning.

An easyJet spokesman said: "A passenger was detained by police for acting suspiciously and subsequently arrested."
Local reports said he was making comments about the end of the world.
