Loyalist pastor Clifford Peeples was yesterday jailed for 10 years for having two Russian-type hand grenades and a pipe bomb in his car 15 months ago. Peeples (31), of Woodvale Road, Belfast, was branded as wicked by Mr Justice Gillen at Belfast Crown Court.
James McGookin Fisher (35), of Deerpark Road in the city was jailed for eight years for helping Peeples. The explosives were found in Peeples' car when police stopped it on October 26th, 1999. The judge told Peeples his community and church work underlined the "wickedness" of his crimes.
