Pedestrian killed overnight in Co Mayo

A man (66) was killed after being hit by a car near Ballina, Co Mayo, last night.

The man was walking on the road at Faranoo, Killala Road, Ballina, at 7 p.m. when the incident happened. The man has not yet been named.
