Australian actress Nicole Kidman, who gets $8 million a film in Hollywood, is to make her British theatre debut in London for £250 a week. Kidman, wife of superstar Tom Cruise, is to appear in The Blue Room by David Hare in September at the Donmar Warehouse in Covent Garden, in central London. The play is a freely-adapted contemporary version of Arthur Schnitzler's classic sex play La Ronde.
Britain's Press Complaints Commission reminded the media yesterday not to intrude into Prince William's privacy after resolving his first complaint against the press. The subject of William's wrath was an article in last week's Mail on Sunday to celebrate his forthcoming 16th birthday. The coverage was "grossly intrusive and inaccurate", Buckingham Palace said.
