Stars from the Royal Ballet, Riverdance and a troupe of line dancers are to take part in a show directed by Wayne Sleep - one of Princess Diana's favourite performers.
The event, at London's Royal Albert Hall in September, will raise cash for the campaign against landmines and will fund projects being run by the British Red Cross. The landmines issue was one which Diana championed in the weeks before her death.
Jazz musician, broadcaster and writer Benny Green has died in London. He was aged 70. Green, a prolific reviewer and columnist, was best known in recent years for his Sunday afternoon music show on BBC Radio 2, which he broadcast until very recently. Born in Leeds, Green began his career as a saxophonist, having studied modern jazz at the London College of Music.
The Vienna Boys' Choir will take part in a series of performances marking the beginning of the Austrian presidency of the EU next week.
The choristers will perform in front of the Hofburg Palace, along with the ballet of the National Opera.
Actor Macaulay Culkin (17), best known for the Home Alone movies, has married. Culkin married Broadway actress Rachel Miner, also 17, on Sunday in Connecticut. Miner is acting in the Broadway production of The Diary of Anne Frank as Anne's older sister.
"This is the happiest day of our lives," the newlyweds said. "We're very much in love and couldn't be happier. However, because of our busy careers we have no immediate plans for a family."
Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker is offering a competition prize to his fans. The star had his beloved car crushed into a lump and has offered it to the group's fan club for a contest through their newsletter.
Cocker is giving the mangled wreck of the 1970s Hillman Imp to whichever fan can dream up the best reason for owning it.
