Mohammed al-Fayed has opened his own Web site, dedicated to informing people about his "interesting life". The site went live on August 31st, the anniversary of the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed, but no announcement was made about it until yesterday.
The opening page displays photos of Diana and Dodi as well as of the Ritz Hotel, where the two had dinner before their fatal crash in Paris last year, and Harrods, which al-Fayed owns. It also shows a British passport, but no name is visible on it.

Evacuees from the volcano-stricken island of Montserrat will be celebrating in London on Friday with the first of three concerts to highlight the gradual return of normal life there. Many Happy Returns II will see soca and calypso performers on the bill at The Forum, and further concerts will be held in two weeks' time on Montserrat and neighbouring Antigua.
