BRITAIN's Queen Elizabeth visited Heathrow yesterday launch the airport's 50th anniversary celebrations and was reunited with William Norris (78), a steward from the plane which brought her from Kenya to London on February 6th, 1952 after the death of her father.

Accompanied by the Duke of" Edinburgh, she inaugurated a £32 million refurbishment of the Terminal 2 departure lounge before going on to party in the specially built 50th festival site nearby.
