The chairwoman of the National Gallery, Ms Carmel Naughton, is also to chair the interim governing authority of the Irish Academy of the Performing Arts, the Minister for Education, Dr Woods, has announced.
Dr Woods said Ms Naughton had the "experience, knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the successful development of this landmark initiative".
