Paris - The first major retrospective of Picasso's erotic art goes on show next week in an explicit exhibition that the French organisers say defies rampant political correctness in the United States.
"Picasso Erotique", on display at the Jeu de Paume museum in central Paris, shows that almost 30 years after his death, the celebrated Spanish artist still has the power to shock. Brothel scenes painted as a youth give way to more violent images of love, passion and rape in his middle age, followed by the eye-popping voyeurism of the elderly Picasso that leaves little to the imagination.
