Police in Derry are investigating the circumstances surrounding a pipe bomb attack on a house in the city last night.
The device exploded at 12.15am outside the front door of a house on Ard Grange near the Springtown Road area of the city.
A family inside the house at the time of the attack were uninjured. The front door of the house suffered some minor damage in the attack.
A number of other houses in the surrounding area were evacuated as a precaution until 4:40am.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
Meanwhile, police were also investigating a blast at commercial premises in Tandragee, Co Armagh.
A pipe bomb device exploded at the building in Mullahead Road at around 11.30pm last night.
Damage was caused to the front of the premises.
The building was empty at the time and there were no reports of injuries.
