A house in Derry has been damaged in an early morning pipe bomb attack in Derry.
A family of seven escaped injury when the device exploded at the house in Spruce Meadows shortly before 1.30am.
Two adults and five children were in the property at the time, but there were no reports of any injuries.
British army technical officers examined the scene and removed the remains of the device for further examination. Nearby houses were evacuated for a short time.
