A plaque in memory of two firemen who died in a blaze in Bray, Co Wicklow, last year was unveiled at the local fire station today.

Brian Murray (46), a father of 13, and Mark O’Shaughnessy (26), died a year ago today when they became trapped inside a smoke-filled factory after its ceiling collapsed.

A minute’s silence was held during the ceremony at 10.43am, the time the call to the fire was received at the station on September 26th last year.

The event was organised by Bray fire fighters and Wicklow County Council, and was attended by members and former members of the Wicklow Fire Service.
