Police in Belfast are appealing for witnesses to a car hijacking in which a man was slightly injured.

Police in Belfast are appealing for witnesses to a car hijacking in which a man was slightly injured.

A man in his early 20s wearing a Burberry-style hat approached the driver of a black Honda Civic car in Fortwilliam Park at 8.25pm last night. He pulled the driver from the car and drove off in the direction of the Antrim Road, police said.

The driver sustained cuts and bruises.

Police have asked anyone with information to contact them at Antrim Road police station. The car, registration number AEZ 4328, is missing.
