Police and fire crews came under attack as they dealt with a house blaze in Northern Ireland this morning.
Officers and firefighters were pelted with stones and missiles just after 1am as they tried to put out a fire at an unoccupied house in Windmill Drive.
It was alleged that at one stage a hose was turned on a dog after its owner tried to set the animal on crew members.
No injuries were reported, but the Police Service of Northern Ireland condemned the attack as foolish.
In Derry, bricks, bottles and fireworks were hurled at police and firefighters on Saturday as they responded to a car fire in the Glengalliagh Road area.
Hours earlier, an ambulance crew were forced to flee a housing estate in the city when teenagers tried to break into their vehicle.
The gang surrounded two paramedics in Fergleen Park, Galliagh, as they responded to a call saying a young boy had collapsed. No injuries were reported in either attack.
