Kathmandu - Nepali police raided a carpet factory in the capital and freed dozens of children, some as young as 13 years, from forced labour, officials said yesterday. The children rescued on Sunday complained of inadequate food and no pay. "We couldn't see the sun," said one of them, Suraj Kumar Dahal.
Police were trying to contact the children's families. "We will seek the assistance of child rights activists as well," a spokesman said.
