London - A police officer was found dead in his home, along with the bludgeoned bodies of his wife and two young sons, after an injured child fled the house screaming for help, police said yesterday.
The bodies of Constable Karl Bluestone, his wife Jill, and three-year-old son Henry were discovered in a house in Gravesend, Kent, after their seven-year-old daughter Jessica ran to a neighbour's.
"The officers also found three other young children with injuries, but an 18-month-old boy, Chandler, later died in hospital," said a police spokeswoman. "The neighbours heard what they thought was a family dispute." Jessica, and eight-year-old Jack, who was in a critical condition, were recovering in hospital. Police were not seeking anyone else in connection with the tragedy.
