London - A police officer is to be charged with murder and manslaughter after an unarmed man was shot dead during a raid, the Crown Prosecution Service said yesterday. PC Chris Sherwood will be charged with killing James Ashley during the raid on his home in St Leonards, East Sussex, only the second police officer in England to be charged with murder in the course of his duties.
