The Taoiseach retains the backing of 50 per cent of the electorate compared with 29 per cent who support Enda Kenny 's leadership aspirations, an opinion poll published this morning indicates.
The poll, published in the Sunday Tribune, shows that support for Fianna Fáil remains unchanged at 37 per cent whileFine Gael have climbed two points to 26 per cent since the paper's last poll in November.
Labour remain unchanged on 12 per cent while the Progressive Democrats and the Green Party are also static on four and five per cent respectively.

The findings of the Sunday Tribune/ Millward Brown IMS poll are not all good news for the Taoiseach with 52 per cent declaring their dissatisfaction with how the Government is running the country.
This compares with just 43 per cent who believe the Government is doing a good
job.
The poll also found that there was strong support for restrictions being placed on the number of non-nationals entering the country with 80 per cent supporting the idea that restrictions should be put in place.
Just 56
per cent
of those polled agreed when asked if the contribution of non-national workers was necessary to sustain the Republic's
economic growth while almost 30 per cent said they did not believe the economy needed non-national workers.
