FC Porto 3 Celtic 0
Two goals by Brazilian winger Clayton Cruz helped Porto to a 3-0 home win over Celtic on Wednesday that kept them in the running to reach the second round of the Champions League.
With two first round matches remaining Porto have moved up to second place in group E with seven points, one point behind new group leaders Juventus and one ahead of Celtic.
Porto caught the Scots cold and scored in the first minute when a neat cross from Nuno Capucho reached Clayton who outjumped defender Dianbobo Balde to head the ball past goalkeeper Rob Douglas.
Mario Silva bagged Porto's second in the final minute of the first half with a powerful low shot from 25 metres after Balde headed the ball clear from a corner kick right to the Portuguese defender's feet.
Clayton put the result beyond doubt on the hour when he passed the ball to Deco and nipped through to receive the returns and hit a fierce left-foot shot. Douglas got a hand to the ball but it bounced in off the bar.
