US President George W Bush is to visit Northern Ireland next month. The visit follows this month's US investment in Belfast.
The US President will meet incoming First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness at the Northern Ireland Assembly.
It follows the restoration of political power-sharing in Northern Ireland and this month's US investment conference in the province with around 80 American firms.
Mr Bush leaves on a seven-day European tour including the UK, Germany, France and Italy on June 9.
The President's meeting in Belfast follows an earlier get-together with current First Minister the Reverend Ian Paisley and Mr McGuinness at the White House.
He is expected to arrive around June 16. A source said: "A big part of the reason behind this is the visit that Paisley and McGuinness made in Washington.
"It turned out to be quite a productive meeting and, as a result, the President was keen to get back here."
