Maseru - Prince Charles and President Nelson Mandela offered words of goodwill yesterday at the coronation of King Letsie III of Lesotho as he took the throne for the second time in the tiny mountain kingdom. Prince Charles watched as his host was crowned with a brown and white feather in a beaded headband before a cheering crowd of over 20,000.
King Letsie (34) was first proclaimed monarch in 1990 after his father, King Moshoeshoe II, was forced to abdicate by the military. He made way on his father's return from a five-year exile in Britain, but King Moshoeshoe died in a car crash last year.
