"Prince" Naseem Hamed announced today he will return to the ring to face Spain's Manuel Calvo Junior at the London Arena on March 23rd.
Hamed has not fought since losing his World Boxing Organisation featherweight title and unbeaten record to Mexico's Marco Antonio Barrera in April last year.
"It's good to be back. After the Barrera fight I just felt I wanted that nice rest and wanted to spend time with my family and relax," Hamed told the BBC.
European champion Calvo (33 wins, four losses, one draw) is little known outside Spain and computer-generated rankings place him some 30 places behind Hamed in the featherweight division.
