A protest march against the continuing deportation of asylum-seekers is to take place in Dublin city today.
Organised by the Asylum Rights Alliance, an umbrella organisation of development, church and human rights groups, the rally will begin at 1.30 p.m. at the Department of Justice, St Stephen's Green, and will finish at the Central Bank.
A spokesman for the alliance said it welcomed the fact that applications were being processed faster than before but said there was a lack of an independent and fair procedure.
