Police officers were attacked in Derry last night as they attended a crash that left a young girl injured.
Missiles and stones were fired at the officers, forcing them to withdraw from the Moss Road area of the city. Damage was also caused to a police vehicle.
Officers had gone to the area after the seven-year-old girl was hurt in a collision with a car.
The man driving the vehicle was also injured. Both were taken to hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
