Racists were behind an early morning petrol bomb attack on a house in Northern Ireland, police said today.
Shortly after 5am two downstairs windows in a house in Ballyclare, Co Antrim and smashed and a container of blazing flammable liquid thrown in.
One of the householders fought the fire and managed to extinguish it just as the Fire & Rescue Service arrived.
The man and woman in the house in the Fairview area of the town were uninjured but shaken by their ordeal.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said they were treating the attack as racist.
One of the occupants, a woman, is Indian.
Police investigating the attack appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious activity to contact them.
