A sex attacker who assaulted a woman at knife point in the grounds of Queen's University was being hunted by police in Belfast tonight.
The woman in her late 20s was walking from the Botanic Avenue area towards the Lisburn Road when the man threatened her with a knife and forced her into a secluded spot behind the main Lanyon Building and attacked her.
Police said the woman, who is not a student, was extremely traumatised after suffering a serious sexual assault.
The attacker is said to be in his mid 20s, about 5'5" tall, clean shaven and with dark cropped hair. He was wearing blue jeans, t-shirt and jacket.
Police appealed for anyone who witnessed the attack or who saw anything suspicious between 11.30pm and midnight on Saturday to contact them.
Meanwhile detectives were searching for the injured victim of an assault after finding a significant amount of blood in a Belfast back street.
A study of CCTV film from the rear of the Art College in Academy Street later showed a male being attacked in the early hours of Monday morning.
The attack was not reported to the police and a check of local hospitals has failed to find anyone who could have been the victim.
A PSNI spokesman appealed for the victim and any witnesses to contact them.
