PSNI officers were questioning three men tonight after a pregnant woman and her baby were allegedly kidnapped in broad daylight.
The victims, aged 20 and 16 months, were dragged from their car and bundled into another vehicle in Newry, Co Down, during a suspected domestic row.
The pair were driven from the scene at Bridge Street in the city just before midday, police said.
But about four hours later officers found the woman and her child at an undisclosed location. One man was arrested.

Two other men were stopped near Banbridge, Co Down, by police investigating the incident.
The woman suffered shock cuts and bruising but the infant was unhurt, police said.
