LONDON - A leading Roman Catholic last night launched a scathing attack on Queen, Elizabeth for undermining the institution of marriage. A former Anglican priest, Father William Oddie, accused the queen of abandoning religious values over the divorce of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Writing in today's Catholic Herald, he goes on to question whether Catholics can remain loyal to a monarch who has forced divorce on a woman who did not want it.
