Niall Quinn and Matt Holland have been recalled to the 22-man Republic of Ireland squad for the Group Two World Cup qualifier against Holland at Lansdowne Road on Saturday week.
Quinn and Holland missed last week's 2-2 draw with Croatia because of knee injuries.
But definitely ruled out of this vital clash through injuries are Stephen Carr, Mark Kinsella, Kenny Cunningham and Gary Breen.
Clinton Morrison, who scored on his debut in the friendly against the Croats, keeps his place in the squad as does Millwall midfielder Stephen Reid, who also made his debut in that game.
"With a full programme of Premiership games at the weekend, I will be keeping my fingers crossed that we don't have any further injury problems," said Republic boss Mick McCarthy.
Steve Staunton seems certain to win his 91st cap in partnering Manchester City's Richard Dunne in the centre of the Irish defence.
"The players who came into the squad for that game against Croatia showed that they can do a job for me against the Dutch," said McCarthy.
