Racing: Today's meeting at Limerick has been given the green light following an inspection this morning. Heavy overnight rain at the track forced officials to check conditions for their six-race card.

Cliff Noone, press officer for the Irish Turf Club, said: "They have had 14 millimetres of rain overnight and they also had a further 15 millimetres on Tuesday night so they are going to take a look."

The track was passed fit for racing, although conditions will be testing with the ground officially described as heavy.
