A book which provides a comprehensive account of the effects of radiation on people living in Ireland has been published by the chairman of the Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland, Dr Mary Upton.
The book provides clear, uncomplicated and nontechnical explanations of natural and manmade radioactivity, radiation given off by the sun, microwave equipment and mobile phones and information about nuclear waste and accidents.
