Rail services on Friday may be disrupted because of industrial action by SIPTU workers, Iarnród Éireann warned this evening.
The company said some of its staff may be involved in protest meetings organised by SIPTU as part of its campaign over general statutory redundancy and other matters.
Despite Iarnród Éireann not being directly involved, the company said some staff may become involved in supporting this action, which it says could lead "to service disruption from noon on Friday."
The company said: "We will endeavour to prevent disruption, but wish to alert our customers of the risk."
