The management of the Royal Dublin Society will conduct its annual review of the Dublin Horseshow with the main sponsors, Fáilte Ireland, after what the RDS chief executive, Michael Duffy, described as a "very satisfactory event".
He said that the sponsorship deal with Fáilte Ireland was carried out on an annual basis.
He said the success of this year's show made it attractive to sponsors because of its national and international profile.
The show, which costs €3.3 million to stage and just breaks even, was well supported by the public this year, said Mr Duffy, and the standards of showing and jumping were very high.
"We were all very pleased that the new arena stood up to its first test and the riders and managers expressed themselves very satisfied with it," he said.
He said the new ticketing system which allows patrons to order and print out tickets on their computers, had also worked well.
The society has just over 5,000 members and the RDS, which is in the middle of a €100 million development plan, hosts about 350 events each year and had a turnover of around €13 million last year.
An estimated 80,000 people attended the showgrounds over the five-day event.
