A British government commission set up to examine ways of providing greater recognition for victims of the Troubles has announced plans to investigate cases in the Republic.
The commission, headed by a former Northern Ireland Civil Service head, Sir Kenneth Bloomfield, will meet at the Glencree Centre for Reconciliation in Co Wicklow this month. It will consider the cases of families who have been "bereaved, traumatised or maimed" as a result of the Northern conflict.
