Sarah Reilly clocked a personal best to qualify for the semi-final of the women’s 200 metres at the World Championships in Edmonton.
Early this morning, she broke her national record by running 20.02 seconds to finish third behind American Marion Jones. Reilly will line up in the semi-final at about 2 a.m. tomorrow morning.
But Peter Coghlan is out of the men’s 110-metre hurdles.
Coghlan could only manage fifth in his semi-final after clocking a time of 13.61 seconds. Only the top three and the fastest runner-up qualify for tonight’s final.
