The remains of a Co Galway soldier who died in East Timor last week arrive home today.

The remains of a Co Galway soldier who died in East Timor last week arrive home today.

Private Peader Flaherty died after being accidentally shot by another soldier while on peace-keeping duties. He has been serving in East Timor since 1999 and was due to finish his duty there next week.

Private Flaherty's body will return to his home in Lettermore, Co Galway this morning.
