Remains of man killed in Thailand due home

The remains of a Co Mayo man who was killed in a tragic fall in Bangkok, Thailand, at the weekend will be flown home today.

The remains of a Co Mayo man who was killed in a tragic fall in Bangkok, Thailand, at the weekend will be flown home today.

Mr Jason King (25), of Fortfield, Castlebar, died when he accidentally fell down three flights of stairs in a guesthouse.

He was en route to Australia, having departed Castlebar only a few days before the tragedy.

It is understood Mr King was staying at hotel in the Thai capital and was visiting a friend from Co Cork at her mother's guesthouse when the accident happened.

His remains will be flown home to Ireland, arriving in Shannon at 4.30 p.m. Mr King, who will be buried locally on Saturday, is also survived by his parents, brother and sister.
