The Special Criminal Court yesterday fixed bail at £45,000 for a Dublin electrician accused of having Semtex at a house in Swords last week. Mr Padraig Steenson (33), of Leinster Avenue, North Strand, is charged with the unlawful possession of 50lb of Semtex and 191 rounds of ammunition on November 7th.
Mr Steenson's solicitor, Mr Garret Sheehan, said that he was not in a position to furnish independent sureties and Mr Steenson was remanded in custody until next Wednesday.
