A REPORT on gambling that was submitted to Government more than a year ago will be published "within the next few days", according to Minister for Justice Dermot Ahern.
He said publication was delayed because of the failure to agree on the establishment of an all-party committee, which would go ahead.
Labour justice spokesman Pat Rabbitte asked if the Minister would agreed that the committee should not consider the question of allowing fixed-odd betting terminals, which were "woefully addictive", in the State.
The Minister said the casino regulation committee recommended that the issue should be examined, and people would have an opportunity to "give their opinion".
