People living in the Ballymun area of Dublin are being invited to join work groups to plan the detail of what should be included in the newly-designed town that will replace the existing high-rise housing estate, writes Frank McDonald, Environment Cor- respondent.
Four such groups are to be established, covering such areas as the need to promote a new image for Ballymun as well as training and employment issues, estate management and home ownership.
A total of £180 million has been pledged by the Government to build new housing. The project is expected to take at least eight years.
