Reuters Group has reported third-quarter revenue of £646 million sterling (€928.8 million), up 7.6 per cent on an underlying basis.
The London-based provider of news and financial data, which has agreed to a takeover by publisher Thomson, said that on an actual basis, its third-quarter revenue rose 2.3 per cent.
Reuters first-quarter underlying revenue growth was 6.5 per cent. In the first half, it was 6.4. The underlying figures exclude any impact from acquisitions and currency.
The company said net sales were strong in all regions despite recent market turbulence.
