The parties involved in a long-running legal dispute over a six-mile stretch of potholed road in Co Cavan will have to pay their own costs, the Supreme Court ruled yesterday. Last week, the Supreme Court allowed an appeal by Cavan County Council against a High Court decision of December 1996 directing the council to repair the road, between Ashrove and Staghall, Bel turbet. The road was repaired last autumn.
