An English woman has become the eighth person to die on Irish roads this weekend.

An English woman has become the eighth person to die on Irish roads this weekend.

The woman, who has not yet been named, was killed when the car in which she was a passenger was in collision with two other cars on the Navan to Kells road in Co Meath at 11.10 a.m.

There are no other reports of injuries.

Earlier today six people including two 15-year-old twins died in a car crash in Co Cork.
