Secret love letters and other documents exchanged by Queen Victoria and gamekeeper John Brown have been discovered, according to reports yesterday.
The collection of letters, mementoes and photographs showing the couple at Balmoral and Osborne, the queen's Isle of Wight home, were found in a house in Royal Deeside, said the Scotland on Sunday newspaper.
The hoard appears to have been kept in the attic of a descendant of Brown, the queen's ghillie or gamekeeper, who lives close to the royal family's Scottish residence.
