An investigation was under way today after an explosive device was thrown through the window of a house in Co Down.
Shots were fired through the window before device was hurled into the living room of the house in Breezemount Rise in Conlig.
No-one was injured but one woman was treated in hospital for shock after the attack at 10.20 p.m. last night.
It was the second attack in the Breezemount Estate this year. A man was shot dead a short distance away from the scene of last night's attack in what was believed to be a drugs-related fallout between rival loyalists.
Adrian Porter, 34, a member of the Loyalist Volunteer Force, a close associate of Ulster Freedom Fighters boss Johnny Adair, was gunned down at his home in Breezemount Park on March 13.
Security sources blamed the attack on the rival Ulster Volunteer Force.
Condemning last night's attack, Conservative councillor Ann Thompson, who lives in the village, said she was relieved no-one was seriously injured.
"I'm obviously very annoyed about this happening in Breezemount because there are a lot of people there doing good work in the estate and could do without this publicity.
"It is a pity that something like this has drawn attention to Breezemount again," she added.
