The RUC is investigating three violent incidents that happened overnight.
In Craigavon, Co Armagh, a number of shots were fired at a house in the Westacres area of the town.
Nobody was injured in the attack, which happened at around 12.20 a.m.
Shortly after midnight seven or eight masked men burst into a house at Donegore Drive in Antrim. They were armed with a handgun, a machete and knives.
There were seven people in the house at the time and all were assaulted.
Three people were badly injured: an 18-year-old man and a man and woman in their 30s.
A spokeswoman for the RUC told ireland.comthat they wounds they received required stitching.
In Maralin Ave in Lisburn, Co Antrim, four masked men burst into a flat just before 11 last night.
One occupant, a male, was taken out to a stairs and beaten with wooden batons. He suffered bruising to the arms, legs and body.
Three others in the flat at the time were unharmed.
