The RUC has begun a murder inquiry following the discovery of a pensioner's body in south Belfast.
The victim, who was in his late 60s, was found at his home in South Parade, off the Ormeau Road.
Detectives have not established a motive for the killing, but said a robbery at the house had not been ruled out.
Worried neighbours called the police to the house yesterday afternoon.
