A clothing factory in the North suffered damage valued at £300,000 in a fire today which the RUC believe was started deliberately.
Fire services were called to Muckamore Industrial Estate in Co Antrim after reports that a car had been set alight.
On arrival a Mercedes vehicle was discovered ablaze, with the fire having spread to an adjoining factory unit which houses a clothing manufacturing firm.
"The building and contents have been extensively damaged with costs estimated at £300,000," a RUC spokesman said.
"Police are treating the fire as arson and are appealing for information."
Meanwhile, a derelict building at a school in north Belfast was today partially gutted in another blaze.
Seven fire engines and up to 35 crew were called to Wellington College to put out the flames which could be seen miles away and attracted crowds of sightseers.
Assistant Divisional Officer Martin Lightfoot said it was too early to say what caused the fire, but stressed tackling it had been hard work.
He explained: "The unfortunate thing was the building is in a very dangerous condition and we couldn't get into it, so we had to put the water in from the outside."
