Motorists are advised to be aware of the Six Nations International rugby match between Ireland and France at Lansdowne Road, in Dublin tomorrow.
The game is due to kick off at 2 p.m. and a full house is expected.
All ferries are running to schedule, but Met Éireann has issued a gale warning for the Irish Sea, and it is expected to remain windy all weekend. Passengers should confirm their departure time with their operator.
Track improvements on the Claremorris-to-Ballina line will continue until Thursday 13th March. There are bus transfers between both stations, but passengers are advised a 20-minute delay may occur.
In Dublin, there will be no DART service before 12 p.m. on Sunday between Dun Laoghaire and Greystones due to track maintainence. A limited bus service will be in place between Dun Laoghaire and Bray.
Dublin and Shannon airports are both expecting busy weekends, though no major flight delays are anticipated.
On Saturday night, it will be very windy with outbreaks of heavy rain spreading eastwards across the country. A clearance to bright spells and blustery heavy showers will follow early on Sunday morning and it will stay very windy.
Monday will bring further heavy or prolonged showers and winds look like becoming even stronger, with severe gusts.
