The High Court yesterday reserved judgment on a challenge by Mr Michael Bailey and his wife to the decision of the Flood Tribunal to investigate their personal financial affairs in public.

Mr Bailey, director of Bovale Developments Ltd, and his wife, Caroline, of Cool common, Batterstown, Co Meath, have asked the President of the High Court to quash the Flood tribunal order of February 8th.

They are also seeking a declaration that the hearing of evidence on their personal financial affairs in public is a disproportionate interference in their constitutional rights.

Mr Justice Morris said he would try to have his judgment available as soon as he could.
